Join us for this Educational Webinar, "Effects and Treatments of Osteoporosis", presented by Dr. David Dolbow, PhD, DPT, RKT
 

Dr. David Dolbow will discuss the evolving definition of osteoporosis, how it is diagnosed, its prevalence and impact on able-bodied and physically impaired individuals including bone fractures, recommendations for prevention and basic non-pharmacological rehabilitation strategies.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize the 3 key elements involved with osteoporosis.
  • List possible causes of osteoporosis.
  • Describe effective non-pharmacological prevention and treatment strategies.
 
Dr. Dolbow is currently a Research Specialist in the Spinal Cord Injury & Disorders Service at the McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Dolbow has many years of clinical experience as a kinesiotherapist, physical therapist and exercise physiologist and was a supervising kinsiotherapist for more than 20 years. Dr. Dolbow has numerous scientific publications in peer reviewed journals and has been a featured presenter at numerous conferences both nationally and internationally. He was an invited member of the "2011 Musculoskeletal Summit” on Capitol Hill in Washington DC where he participated as a Bone Disease Delegate with the United States Bone & Joint Initiative.
