"Budgeting 101"



Learning Objectives:

1. Better understand the importance of budgeting and how this is an important form of communication with your sponsoring hospital.

2. Help you overcome the fear of getting the email that it is time to prepare your annual budget by providing tools and tips to making the budget process easier.

3. Discuss how this is a team approach. You must not create your budget in a vacuum.

Brief Overview:

"I have found through my experience that the management team of a wellness center are very comfortable in designing programs, selling memberships, motivating members and team members, etc. But most managers are out of their comfort zone when it comes to budgets or reading financial statements.   This is to be expected as the management team is usually comprised of people that have degrees in sports performance and kinesiology.  As part of the management team preparing budgets and overseeing the financial statements are part of their responsibilities.  This presentation is designed to help the management team gain a better understanding of the budgeting process and to provide tools and tips on how to prepare a budget."

Continuing Education Credits (CECs):

This webinar has been approved for one contact hour by ACSM, AKTA and BOC-AT. Current members of the association receive complimentary credits after completing post-webinar survey. Non-members may purchase them for $25 after completing post-webinar survey. Payment must be received before CEC can be issued.
