1.The discussion of the benefits of a daily yoga practice and how the asanas (poses), mediation and breathwork are able to offer a simple, holistic, effective, and accessible pain management tool will be outlined for general patient populations as well as yoga styles and practices.
2.Descriptions of yoga techniques, styles, practices and philosophies will be discussed, explained, contrasted and compared as to which practices may be better suited for specific patient populations as well as ones to avoid.
3.The differences between a yoga instructor and a yoga therapist will be shared and discussed. Scope of practice, levels of certification/education and times when it would be more beneficial to recommend one or the other.
