Meet Collette Carter

Collette Carter, FMFA serves as an At-Large Member of the Board of Directors of the Medical Fitness Association. She has been active with Medical Fitness Association for many years and has served in many roles including Facility Certification Examiner, Conference Committee, Kentucky State Captain and Central Regional Chair.

When she is not busy filling her roles with the MFA, she is also the Director of the Owensboro Health Healthpark in Owensboro, Kentucky. She has been with organization for over 20 years serving as the Service Excellence facilitator and a member of the organization’s wellness committee.

In addition to her role at Owensboro Health, Collette is active in her community serving on various boards and volunteering on committees. (past board member of United Way of Ohio Valley, Girls Incorporated, PAWS for Daviess County High School, Mayors Cable TV Advisory Committee). She is currently on the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Daviess County Public Schools and the Communications Department Advisory Committee for Western Kentucky University

Collette is passionate about improving the health of her community through educational programs/services and promoting the benefits of exercise as a part of the healthcare continuum of care.

Collette earned her MA degree In organizational communications from Western Kentucky University and is certified as Group Exercise Instructor with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America

In her free time, Collette loves to run with her facility’s walking and running club and attend group exercise classes like Body Pump. She has two sons—Mason and Jack – and enjoys spending time with family. She loves to travel and loves the beach,  especially Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.
