Meet Marci Crozier
Marci Crozier has worked at the Franciscan Health Fitness Centers for over 35 years and is currently the Administrative Director of Health Promotions. She was proud to become a Franciscan almost 20 years ago!
The Fitness Centers, both in Schererville and Chesterton, are two of only 50 clubs in the world, and the first in Indiana, to obtain their Medical Fitness Association Certification. The Franciscan team became certified in 2012 and re-certified in 2015. Combined, the two clubs boast over 11,000 members, 600,000 usages a year and employ about 160 individuals.
Marci serves on the MFA Marketing Committee and was instrumental in helping MFA with its rebranding efforts, the development of the Medical Fitness Foundation Endowment Campaign and in helping to re-design MFA’s annual conference program last year. Marci was recognized as the Director of the Year-Community Outreach at the MFA National Conference awards program in 2017. Other recognitions include a Health & Wellness Award from Senator Richard Lugar at Butler University and the Indiana Volunteer of the Year, by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
She published a Fitness Is Good Business Corporate Sales Program that helps simplify the process of helping companies get their employees started on their fitness journey.
Marci earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sports and Recreation Management with an Associate Degree in Business Management from Lake Superior State College in Sault Sainte Marie, MI. She is a former college athlete, earning her way through college by playing volleyball and softball on a scholarship. Her lifelong love of athletics has kept her in the sports and fitness industry for over 35 years.
Marci was a popular contestant, on NBC’s The Biggest Loser-Season 11, over seven years ago. She won the heart of a few of us associated with MFA, as we rooted Marci and her daughter, Courtney, on every week. She has used this platform to “pay it forward” as a respected, engaging motivational speaker who has inspired sales teams, business professionals, and student athletes, as well as those individuals struggling with personal fitness and weight issues. She felt privileged to present at both MFA Regional and National conferences.
Marci co-owns a Dairy Queen in Valparaiso, IN with her husband Kevin of 35 years. She loves exercising, golf and keeps her spirit alive attending Real Life Community Church. She has two beautiful daughters, Courtney and Casey and enjoys spending time with her family, including her son-in-law, Alex.
