Meet Wes King
Wesley King has spent over 20 years taking great pride in building high-quality, sustainable, and nationally recognized aquatic programs, services, and operational strategies. Wesley is an outgoing and energized individual, with a great passion for this industry. He loves public speaking and enjoys any chance he gets to speak about the aquatic industry and the medical fitness field. He loves to share ideas about ways to create a greater impact with his knowledge and passion. Wes is currently writing an “Aquatics Operations Training Manual” that will be published and sold through MFA nationwide.
Wes has been involved in MFA since 2011 and serves as a Lead Examiner in the Facility Certification program. He was the Chair of the Education Committee for 3 years and recently earned his MFA Fellowship in early 2018.
After serving for many years as the Aquatics and Risk Management for Galter Life Center, a three time MFA Certified Medical Fitness Center, Wes and his family packed up their life in Chicago in 2017 and moved to Edmond, OK to work as the General Manager for Mercy Fitness Center. He was hired by EXOS to lead this location and integrate the “medical fitness difference” into the Mercy Fitness Center. His new job has been a great experience for him and he is excited to be able to share his medical fitness experience with Mercy and EXOS locally and nationally. In addition to Wes’s other activities, he owns an aquatic consulting business.
In his spare time he is a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, enjoys writing songs/books, and spending quality family time. Wes is a proud father of his 5 year old son and his 16 month old daughter. They both have outgoing personalities and he knows how lucky he is to have such great kids, a wonderful wife, and the leaders in the MFA community as his “second family.”
