Meet Yvette Dixon, CFFD
Yvette Dixon is a quiet, unassuming young lady who doesn’t like to talk about herself. However she is a ‘Rock Star’ in my opinion. Not only does she hold a BA in Wellness and Health Promotion, she is an ACE certified personal trainer and a recognized professional in the field. Prior to becoming a wellness professional, Yvette worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 12 years. While she enjoyed working in that environment, she realized that her passion was to work more on the prevention side of wellness.
Yvette earned her MFA Fellowship in in October 2017 and became one of the first MFA Certified Fitness Facility Directors in January, 2018. Yvette has also been the primary planner behind the 2016 Central Region Conference and the annual Medical Fitness Institute that same year.
She is the prior recipient of the MFA Rising Star Award for the Central Region and her program, “Journey to Wellness” was recognized in 2017 as the Second Place Program Innovation Award Winner.
Yvette enjoys lifting weights and spending quality time with her friends. Her daughter will be graduating from High School this year and will be attending Indiana Wesleyan this fall to pursue a doctorate in Physical therapy. She will also be cheering for the university.
