Sharon Sporman is a long time fitness professional and member of the Medical Fitness Association. She won the prestigious MFA Executive Director of the Year Award in 2015. Her leadership as the Administrative Director of the Franciscan Health and Fitness Centers in Schererville and Chesterton, IN resulted in both centers becoming MFA Certified. She is a consummate professional!
Melissa Ziegler is the Executive Director of the AKTA, a partner organization of MFA, and she has served in multiple roles during her many years in the industry. Most recently she was the MFA Conference Committee chair for the 2016 and 2017 Annual Conferences. She is also a professor at the University of Southern Mississippi in Kinesiotherapy.
Marci Crozier is a 35 year fitness profession whose lifelong example has impacted the industry in many ways. Serving on the MFA Marketing Committee and sharing her many talents through speaking at multiple MFA events and webinars, Marci continues to give back to her chosen profession. Her work at Fransciscan Health led to their two facilities becoming the first MFA Certified Facilities in Indiana.
Kathy DeBlasio is the Chair of the MFA Education Committee where she has presided over a record number of educational offerings over the past year. She is the Lifestyle Enhancement Director for UNC Wellness Centers.
Olivia Blosch has been awarded the South Central Rising Star Award. Serving in the role of Program and Development Manager at Mercy Fitness Center in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Kristin McConnell has been active with Medical Fitness Association for many years and is also one of the architects of the new MFA website and MFA logo. Her marketing expertise has been a great asset to her facility and the MFA.
Sarah Strefling was named as the Central Region Rising Star for 2017. She is the Fitness Manager at Beacon Health & Fitness in South Bend Indiana.
Greg Brondos, Jr., MAEd, won the South East Region Rising Star Award for 2017 and works at Valley Health Wellness and Fitness Center in Winchester, VA.
Art Slowinski, MS, CSCS, FMFA has been a member of MFA since 2001 serving on many committees and helping MFA grow. As Co-Chair of the Physician Task Force, Art helped to initiate the Physician Track at the MFA annual conference which continues to attract more Physicians to the event each year. He is a former Member of the Board of Directors of the Medical Fitness Association (2012-2017).
Philip Raper, FMFA serves as an At Large Member of the Board of Directors of the Medical Fitness Association and the Medical Fitness Foundation Board of Trustees. He has been active with Medical Fitness Association for many years and is also currently a Lead Examiner in the MFA Facility Certification program.
