David Flench

David Flench has over 20 years of experience in the health and wellness industry, including the past 9 years as the Director of the Wellness Centers and Outpatient Diabetes Education Center at Hancock Health. David’s main focus is on the development of clinically-integrated programs, strategic planning, outcome measurement, and operational oversight. He has guided both of his facilities to successfully achieve designation as certified medical fitness centers. He is also the Program Coordinator and an instructor for Educational Fitness Solutions in the Professional Certificate in Fitness Business Management online courses. Previously, David was general manager of the Sarasota Memorial Healthplex, director of Mariners Wellness Center, and Fitness Manager at the McConnell Heart Health Center.

David attained his Master of Business Administration from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio and his Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Exercise Science from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.  David is Board Certified in Healthcare Management and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). He is also a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-cEP), ACSM Level 2 Exercise is Medicine certified, and a Fellow of the Medical Fitness Association (FMFA).

David currently serves on the Board of Directors for the MFA, the Board of Advisors for the National Posture Institute (NPI), as a Lead Facility Examiner for the MFA, and previously on the Board of Directors for the Fortville McCordsville Area Chamber of Commerce. He has presented on a variety of topics at several local, regional, national, and international conferences. David is an active member of the Rotary Club of Greenfield, a graduate of both the Sarasota County and Hancock County Leadership programs, and coaches several of the local youth sports teams for his two boys.
