Doug Ribley has been active in the development and administration of quality health, fitness and wellness programs and facilities for thirty-six years. He has worked in the corporate, commercial and hospital based arenas.

Doug is currently the Senior Vice President of Health & Wellness Services for Cleveland Clinic Akron General. He was instrumental in the development and operation of Akron General’s three award winning Health and Wellness Outpatient Delivery Centers which represent a $120 million investment. These centers emphasize prevention, early detection, rehabilitation and outpatient treatment in a unique, clinically integrated, environment.

Doug has been instrumental in the development of numerous hospitalbased Health and Wellness center projects throughout the country and continues to provide leadership and insight related to the introduction of this model to communities and health systems locally, regionally and nationally.

Doug has served as a member of the Ohio State Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Wellness, and Sports, is a past President and Chairman of the Medical Fitness Association, is a recipient of the Medical Fitness Association’s Pioneer Award, Founders Award, Distinguished Service Award and the MFA Special Recognition Award all for his contributions toward the advancement of the medical fitness and wellness profession. Doug is a frequent author and speaker and has been named a Fellow of the Medical Fitness Association and the Health Care Advisory Board Company.
