The amount of data we can collect about health and wellness is endless. From simple measurements to more complex data, how we utilize that data is what drives its importance. The fitness industry has been inundated with technology and gadgets that can provide live, real-time feedback and track trends over time. When used correctly, this data can help drive fitness programming that remains progressive in nature.

Dr. Aaron Aslakson is an Assistant Professor and Director of Exercise Science at Crown College in St. Bonifacius, MN, as well as Director of the Human Performance Laboratory. Previously he spent 13 years as the Director of Fitness Centers for Walker Methodist, a senior living organization in Minneapolis, MN, where he conducted personal training, taught group exercise classes and oversaw 11 Fitness Centers. He is actively involved in the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and regularly presents nationally level for the International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) and SCW Fitness.
