Speaker: Janet Anders, Lead Wellness Specialist/Wellness Dietitian at Saint Francis Medical Center- Fitness Plus
Janet Anders holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Studies from Southeast Missouri State University and completed her dietetic internship at Murray State University in Kentucky. She’s also earned the highest certification in Adult Weight Management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, proving she knows her stuff when it comes to helping people manage their wellness journeys (and their snacks).
With 25 years at Saint Francis Medical Center under her belt, Janet has worn many hats—Pharmacy, Food and Nutrition, and Wellness—making her a true Swiss Army knife of healthcare. Currently, she leads the Wellness team as the Lead Wellness Specialist, partnering with clients across all ages to coach them toward healthier lives, with a special focus on managing chronic diseases. When it comes to wellness, Janet’s philosophy is simple: health is a journey, not a sprint.
Outside the clinic, Janet keeps things lively by teaching aerobics classes (because who says wellness can’t be fun?), proudly serves in the Marine Corps League Auxiliary, and—just in case you were wondering—always has an avocado on hand. After all, it’s hard to be too serious when you’re fueled by good fats and good vibes.
