Say hi to Paige Jones, the Fitness Center Manager at Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta, GA. He has been with the facility for the past 13 years. Paige has a BS in Exercise Science from Furman University in Greenville, SC. He has been active with MFA serving on the Education Committee and SEMFA.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
The role that we play in preserving the health of our community and the folks I work with.
What led you to choose this field?
I always knew I wanted to go into healthcare and explored a few career paths, but found a home in medical fitness.
What has been your favorite/most successful initiative at Piedmont Healthcare?
Exercise is Medicine
What one piece of advice would you give to those just coming into this field of medical fitness?
Check your motivation. Be in it for the right reasons.
Why did you become a member of the Medical Fitness Association?
Because my boss jumped on my back like a spider-monkey until I got involved! It’s been a very valuable resource in learning the business of medical fitness.
What did your facility gain by becoming certified by the Medical Fitness Association?
We’re in the process!
What do you like to do outside of work?
Spending time with my family, working out, attending athletic events, Netflix & chill.
Are you involved in any charity/community work?
I’m involved with outreach ministries in my church.
