Jeff Jeran

Jeff holds a Master of Science (MS) degree from West Virginia University (WVU) in Exercise Physiology specializing in aquatic therapy and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sports Medicine/Athletic training from Alderson Broaddus College. Jeff received football, baseball, and academic scholarships while getting his bachelor’s degree and held multiple internships while getting his masters degree at WVU as a Strength Coach under world renowned Mike Barwis for baseball, basketball, football, and wrestling and did a Graduate Assistance (GA) under Dr. Robert Chetlin, Ph.D., CSCS, HFI working in Neuromuscular research. Jeff also held internships in Cardiac Rehab, Aquatic Therapy, and a paid internship as a Strength Coach with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2003.

Jeff is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) in Exercise is Medicine Level 1, the National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF) as a Certified Pool Operator, American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard, and has been published in the peer-reviewed National Strength and Conditioning Professional Journal.

Jeff is the Corporate Director for six Valley Health Wellness and Fitness Centers in Virginia and West Virginia, two centers are certified medical fitness facilities and have received national recognition as the top Certified Medical Fitness Centers multiple times and Jeff has received the Medical Fitness Director of the Year Award from the Medical Fitness Association (MFA) in 2009 and 2017. Jeff serves on the Board of Directors for the MFA and is currently the Treasurer for the MFA. Jeff received his Fellowship in 2015 with the MFA. He also serves on the VA/DC National Strength and Conditioning Association’s Advisory Board.
